We're Kruisin' for Kathie Again!
It's March when I'm writing this, so next week marks 13 years since I held my Mom's hand and said goodbye. 13 years since she's cleaned up after me, since I've called her to tell her about my bad day, or about my good one, and 13 years since I've had one of her hugs. She gave the BEST hugs. I really loved those standing in the kitchen hugging for no reason at all hugs. When I think about those, I'm sure I can't tell my kids I love them enough.
I've been involved with MOCA for 9 years now, and it's amazing to see the progress that has been made, but there is still so much work to do. While a lot has been learned, and my personal approach to my health has seen a benefit from this, I'm still not satisfied with the survival rate, so I keep running. I'm running so my daughter won't have to fear Ovarian Cancer. And to be honest, I'm running so my son won't have to fear it either. He may not have ovaries, but he loves an awful lot of people who do.
When you support the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance through a donation to my HOM Teal Strides team, you help fund critical research and programming for women and families impacted by ovarian cancer.
Please, donate today to help me make a difference against ovarian cancer.
And consider joining my team to walk and run against this disease on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Rosland Park in Edina!
Thank you for making a difference with me.
